Collagenous

Describing tissues or structures that are rich in collagen, a fibrous protein that provides structural support and tensile strength. These tissues are fundamental components of connective tissue throughout the body, including skin, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage. Collagen is the most abundant protein in mammals, accounting for about 25% to 35% of the total protein content.
