Vasectomy

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012524

A surgical procedure for male sterilization or permanent contraception. It involves cutting, sealing, or blocking the vasa deferentia, the tubes that transport sperm from the epididymis to the ejaculatory ducts, thereby preventing sperm from entering the seminal fluid. Unlike castration, this procedure does not stop the production of sperm or male hormones and does not affect sexual function.
