Multi-core

Relating to a single computing component with two or more independent processing units, called cores, which read and execute program instructions. These cores are integrated onto a single integrated circuit die, allowing for parallel processing and improved performance on software that can run multiple tasks simultaneously. A dual-core processor contains two cores, while a quad-core processor contains four.
