A designation for pure biodiesel fuel, consisting of 100% fatty acid methyl esters (FAME). This fuel is derived from vegetable oils or animal fats through a transesterification process. It can be used in diesel engines, either in its pure form or blended with petroleum diesel, and meets the ASTM D6751 standard in the United States.
