A specialized refractory container used in industrial kilns to hold and protect ceramic articles during firing. These containers prevent direct flame impingement and maintain a consistent firing atmosphere around the ware. Cassettes are constructed from materials like silicon carbide or cordierite to withstand high temperatures.
