Glan, Thompson prism
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002581
A polarizing prism that separates an unpolarized light beam into two orthogonally polarized beams, with one beam being transmitted and the other deflected. It is constructed from two calcite prisms cemented together with Canada balsam or a similar optical adhesive.
