Magneto-optic Kerr effect
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003494
A magneto-optic phenomenon where the polarization of light reflected from a magnetic material changes when the material is magnetized. This effect is sensitive to the magnetization state of the surface. It is widely used in the study of magnetic materials and in the development of magnetic data storage technologies.
