Induction
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003009
The process by which an electrical conductor or magnetic material becomes electrified or magnetized when exposed to a magnetic field, without direct physical contact. This phenomenon is governed by Faraday's law of induction, which describes how a changing magnetic field creates an electromotive force. Induction heating uses this principle to heat conductive materials.
