Polyhedral

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004405

A wing design where the wing is angled upwards from the root in multiple sections, creating a shallow, multi-faceted 'V' shape when viewed from the front. This configuration increases the aircraft's lateral or roll stability by creating a stronger restoring moment when a wing drops compared to a simple dihedral. Polyhedral is distinct from dihedral, which involves a single upward angle from the wing root to the tip.
