Slaglessness

A condition in metallurgical processes where the molten metal is free from or contains minimal amounts of slag. This state is achieved through careful control of raw materials, furnace atmosphere, and refining agents. Achieving slaglessness is a goal in producing high-purity metals, such as certain grades of specialty steel.
