Snell's law

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005423

A formula describing the change in direction of a wave as it passes from one medium to another. The law relates the angles of incidence and refraction to the refractive indices of the two media. It is expressed by the equation n1 sin(θ1) = n2 sin(θ2), where n represents the refractive index and θ represents the angle measured from the normal.
