SRAM

A type of semiconductor memory that uses bistable latching circuitry to store each bit. Unlike DRAM, SRAM does not need to be periodically refreshed, making it faster and consuming less power in standby mode. SRAM is commonly used for CPU cache memory and other applications requiring high speed.
