Triac

A three-terminal semiconductor device that conducts current in either direction when triggered by a gate pulse. It functions as an electronic switch for alternating current (AC) circuits, allowing for control of power to a load. Triacs are widely used in light dimmers, motor speed controls, and other AC power control applications.
