Unit

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006357

A standard, defined quantity of a physical property used as a basis for measurement and comparison. Units provide context to numerical values, allowing for consistent and reproducible quantification in science and engineering. The International System of Units (SI) defines seven base units: the meter for length, kilogram for mass, second for time, ampere for electric current, kelvin for temperature, mole for amount of substance, and candela for luminous intensity.
