Bias

A predisposition or prejudice held by a judge, juror, arbitrator, or other decision-maker that prevents them from impartially evaluating the facts and law in a case. This lack of neutrality can stem from personal beliefs, prior experiences, or relationships with the parties involved. A finding of bias can lead to the disqualification or recusal of the decision-maker, or it can serve as grounds for appealing a verdict or judgment.
