Chance verdict

A verdict reached by a jury through an arbitrary or random method, such as drawing lots or flipping a coin, rather than through deliberation and a reasoned decision. Such a verdict is considered invalid and will be set aside upon discovery. This practice undermines the integrity of the judicial process.
