Habit evidence

Testimony or other proof presented in court to show that a person or organization consistently acted in a particular way under specific circumstances. This evidence is admissible under the Federal Rules of Evidence to prove that the conduct of the person or organization on a particular occasion was in conformity with the habit or routine practice. It differs from character evidence, which is generally inadmissible to prove conduct.
