Intermittent leave

A type of leave taken in separate blocks of time, or by reducing a regular work schedule, due to a single qualifying reason. This can involve taking leave for a few hours at a time, or for several days over a period. The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) in the United States permits eligible employees to take intermittent leave for specified family and medical reasons.
