Malice

The intentional commission of a wrongful act without justification or excuse, often with the desire to cause harm. In legal contexts, it can refer to actual malice, which is knowledge of falsity or reckless disregard for the truth, or implied malice, inferred from the circumstances of an act. Malice is a key element in certain torts and crimes, such as defamation and murder.
