Quasi-judicial

Describing the actions or functions of an administrative agency or official that are similar to those of a court. These bodies have the authority to hold hearings, take evidence, and make decisions that affect the rights of individuals, but they are not part of the judicial branch. Examples include zoning boards or workers' compensation commissions.
