Retaliation

An adverse action taken by an employer, landlord, or other party against an individual for exercising a legally protected right. This can include termination, demotion, harassment, or eviction. Laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibit retaliation against employees who report discrimination.
