Wrongful discharge

The termination of an employee's contract in violation of an employment agreement, public policy, or statutory law. This legal claim arises when an employer dismisses an employee for reasons that are illegal, such as discrimination, retaliation for whistleblowing, or breach of an implied contract. Employees who prove wrongful discharge may be entitled to remedies including reinstatement, back pay, and compensatory damages.
