Lift on, lift off (LOLO)

A method of cargo handling where goods are loaded onto and unloaded from a vessel or vehicle using a crane or other lifting equipment. This technique is distinct from roll-on, roll-off (RoRo), which involves driving cargo onto and off the transport unit. LOLO operations are common for containers, heavy machinery, and oversized items that cannot be driven.
