Cost and freight (CFR)

An Incoterm (International Commercial Term) where the seller is responsible for arranging and paying for the transportation of goods to a named port of destination. The risk of loss or damage to the goods transfers from the seller to the buyer once the goods are loaded onto the vessel at the port of shipment. The buyer is responsible for costs and risks associated with unloading and onward transportation from the destination port.
