Calorimeter

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004118

An instrument used to measure the heat absorbed or released during a chemical reaction or physical change. In atmospheric science, calorimeters can be employed in laboratory settings to study the latent heat associated with phase changes of water, such as evaporation or condensation. This measurement provides insights into energy budgets within the atmosphere.
