Constant-level balloon
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004621
A type of meteorological balloon designed to float at a relatively constant geometric altitude in the atmosphere. These balloons are used to track air parcel trajectories and measure atmospheric variables like wind speed, temperature, and humidity at specific heights.
