Creep
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004748
The slow, continuous deformation of a material under constant stress over an extended period, even at stresses below its yield strength. In glaciology, ice creep describes the viscous flow of ice within a glacier, allowing it to move downslope. This process is temperature-dependent, increasing with warmer ice temperatures.
