Density altitude
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004920
The pressure altitude corrected for non-standard temperature variations. It represents the altitude in the standard atmosphere where the air density would be the same as that at the actual location. Higher density altitude indicates lower air density, which affects aircraft performance by reducing lift and engine power.
