True altitude

The actual vertical distance of an aircraft or object above mean sea level. This differs from indicated altitude, which is read directly from an altimeter, and pressure altitude, which is based on a standard atmosphere. True altitude is calculated by correcting indicated altitude for non-standard temperature and pressure conditions.
