Disjunct eddy covariance
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010478
A variant of the eddy covariance technique used to measure turbulent fluxes of trace gases, particularly those with low concentrations or requiring specialized analytical methods. Unlike traditional eddy covariance, it involves separating the fast-response gas analyzer from the anemometer, often using a time-lag correction. This method is applied to measure fluxes of gases like nitrous oxide or methane.
