Relaxed eddy accumulation

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008517

A micrometeorological technique used to measure the turbulent flux of trace gases or particles between the Earth's surface and the atmosphere. It involves collecting air samples based on the sign of the vertical wind velocity, but without requiring precise real-time control of flow rates. This method provides an alternative to eddy covariance for measuring fluxes of species that are difficult to measure with fast-response sensors.
