Duplexer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005180
A device that allows a single antenna to be used for both transmitting and receiving signals in a radar system. It functions as a high-speed switch, connecting the antenna to the transmitter during the pulse transmission and then to the receiver to listen for the echo. The duplexer protects the sensitive receiver components from the high power of the transmitted pulse.
