Equatorial orbiting satellite

A satellite that maintains an orbit directly above the Earth's equator, with an orbital inclination of approximately zero degrees. This type of orbit allows for continuous or frequent observation of phenomena within the equatorial region. Geostationary satellites are a specific type of equatorial orbiting satellite.
