Exhalation
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005500
The process by which a substance, such as water vapor or another gas, is released from a surface into the atmosphere. In meteorology, this often describes the release of moisture from the ground, bodies of water, or vegetation, contributing to the overall atmospheric water vapor content. This process influences local humidity levels and the potential for cloud and fog formation, differing from evaporation which specifically involves a liquid-to-gas phase change.
