Moisture-continuity equation

A mathematical expression that describes the conservation of water vapor in the atmosphere. It accounts for changes in atmospheric moisture content due to advection, diffusion, and phase changes such as evaporation and condensation. This equation is integrated into numerical weather prediction models to forecast humidity and precipitation.
