A warm, dry, downslope wind occurring on the leeward side of the Alps. This wind results from air descending and warming adiabatically after losing its moisture on the windward slopes. The term is the Romansh name for the Foehn wind, specifically as it is experienced in the valleys of the Graubünden canton of Switzerland.
