FM-CW radar

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010510

A type of radar system that continuously transmits a frequency-modulated signal, allowing for simultaneous transmission and reception. This technique enables high-resolution measurements of range and velocity, particularly useful for profiling atmospheric boundary layers and detecting small-scale phenomena. It operates by analyzing the frequency difference between the transmitted and received signals.
