Foehn period

The entire duration during which foehn conditions prevail in a specific region, characterized by warm, dry, and often gusty winds descending the lee side of a mountain range. This period begins with the onset of the foehn and ends when the characteristic foehn winds cease. Foehn periods can last from several hours to multiple days, depending on the synoptic weather pattern.
