Foehn air

The specific air mass that has undergone the characteristic warming and drying process associated with a foehn wind. This air is typically warmer and has a lower relative humidity than the air on the windward side of the mountain range. Its presence is a key indicator of foehn conditions and can lead to rapid snowmelt.
