Groundwater mound

A localized rise in the water table, typically forming beneath an area of concentrated recharge, such as an infiltration basin or beneath a leaking pipeline. This elevated area of groundwater can influence local flow patterns. Its formation is governed by the hydraulic conductivity of the surrounding soil.
