Gustsonde
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006136
A specialized radiosonde designed to measure high-frequency fluctuations in wind speed and direction, as well as temperature and humidity, within the atmospheric boundary layer. It provides detailed vertical profiles of atmospheric turbulence. Data from a gustsonde is used for research into boundary layer processes and for forecasting phenomena like clear-air turbulence.
