Japan Sea Deep Water

A cold, dense water mass that occupies the deep basins of the Sea of Japan, also known as the East Sea. It forms through the cooling and sinking of surface waters in the northern part of the sea during winter. This water mass is characterized by its low temperature, high oxygen content, and relatively uniform properties below approximately 1000 meters depth.
