Lenard effect

The phenomenon where electric charge separation occurs when water droplets break up in an air stream, leading to the generation of atmospheric electricity. This effect contributes to the electrification of clouds and the formation of lightning. It is also known as the waterfall effect, as it was first observed near waterfalls.
