Mesotherm
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010615
A plant adapted to warm temperate climates in the plant-geography scheme proposed by Alphonse de Candolle in 1874, with the hottest month averaging above about 22 degrees Celsius and the coldest month not below about 6 degrees. It sits between the tropical megatherms and the microtherms of cool climates. In the same scheme megatherms need continuous heat, and hekistotherms occupy the coldest zones.
