Microthermal climate

A climate type characterized by long, cold winters and short, cool summers, where the average temperature of the warmest month is above 10 degrees Celsius, but the average temperature of the coldest month is below -3 degrees Celsius. This classification is often associated with continental interiors and high latitudes. Such climates are found across much of Canada, Russia, and parts of the northern United States.
