Meteorological noise
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007239
Unwanted or irrelevant signals in meteorological data that can obscure the true atmospheric phenomena being measured or observed. This noise can arise from instrument errors, local environmental factors, or small-scale atmospheric turbulence that is not of primary interest. Filtering techniques are often applied to reduce its impact on analyses.
