Noise temperature
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007566
A measure of the noise power available from a resistive load or an antenna, expressed as the temperature of an ideal resistor that would generate the same amount of noise power. It is used to characterize the performance of microwave receivers and radiometers in atmospheric remote sensing. This temperature is typically measured in Kelvin.
