Antenna temperature
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003555
A measure of the noise power received by an antenna, expressed as the temperature of a hypothetical resistor that would generate the same amount of noise power. This temperature is influenced by both external sources, such as atmospheric emissions, and internal receiver noise. It is a key parameter in passive microwave remote sensing for atmospheric sounding.
