Mixed layer models
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007325
Simplified atmospheric or oceanic models that represent the vertical structure of a fluid column by assuming a well-mixed layer near the surface. These models parameterize turbulent transport within the layer and exchange processes at its boundaries. They are often used to study the evolution of the planetary boundary layer or the upper ocean.
