Multiband system

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007443

A remote sensing instrument or technique that collects data simultaneously across multiple distinct spectral bands of electromagnetic radiation. Each band is sensitive to different physical properties of the observed target, allowing for more detailed analysis. Satellite sensors like MODIS operate as multiband systems, capturing data from the visible to the infrared spectrum.
